During my visit to Harrow International School Hong Kong today, I got to sample the wonderful fare on offer. There was a healthy twist to a British classic, 'fish & chips'. Grown ups and upper school were given the option of the traditional battered fish, extremely crispy and light (Harrow parents can try out the lunch menu themselves, by emailing the school office), pared with a delicious, healthy salad chosen from the extensive selection at the salad bar.

The catering staff at Harrow do an amazing job, and staff like Terry and Erica, present since the school's opening, work tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything work smoothly.

The Harrow’s, Lyon Cafe, is stocked with wonderful drinks and snacks. I’m so delighted to have tried their pumpkin smoothie, made specially for Halloween yesterday.

It went well with a slice of Head Chef Eric’s, birthday cake, made lovingly by the wonderful pastry chefs at Harrow. "Happy birthday Eric - have a yummy day!" I loved the smoothies, but I loved the cafe even more, after talking to Eric about all the #slowsmallchanges they are making towards becoming more sustainable & environmentally friendly.

Harrow’s lion, now my official favourite school soft toy, will be making J3 Education Group’s boarding house(for teddy bears and cuddly animals), it's new home soon.
